Southern Star Academy of Dance Chinchilla is dedicated to providing a supportive and inspiring environment where dancers of all ages and levels can explore the art of dance. We offer a diverse range of dance classes taught by experienced instructors, aiming to nurture a passion for dance and foster personal growth in each of our students.

Meet Mrs Hannah, the owner and principal of SSAD Chinchilla. With a passion for dance that started at a young age at SSAD Dalby, she began her teaching journey in 2017 and proudly took over the Chinchilla studio in 2025. Mrs Hannah is excited to collaborate more closely with our students and their families, and she can't wait to see how much our studio will flourish in the coming years!
With her kind heart and passion for dance, she creates a safe and nurturing environment where students can grow and thrive. Mrs Hannah loves sharing her knowledge, coming up with exciting choreography, and challenging her students to reach their full potential. She also has a blast challenging the students!

Miss Chloe is one of our senior teachers and has been part of the Southern Star family since she was a tiny dancer. She began her teaching journey in 2021 and has continued to grow both as a performer and an instructor.
Miss Chloe is a passionate and dedicated educator, always striving to help her students succeed in every class. She is our acro girl and creates a supportive, uplifting environment where students feel empowered to grow and achieve their goals. Her energy and love for dance are contagious, inspiring students to challenge themselves and explore their creativity.

Miss Emma has been a part of Southern Star since her early days as a twinkle toe and began her teaching journey in 2021. Her dedication and discipline across all styles of dance have shaped her strong work ethic, high standard and deep appreciation for the arts.
Miss Emma is a supportive and motivated teacher who strives to help her students make the most of every class.
She continues to pursue her own dance goals, and it’s this ongoing passion and determination that make her an invaluable member of the Southern Star team—both as a teacher and as a student.

Miss Arabella has been a part of Southern Star since her early days as a twinkle toe. With a strong sense of dedication and enthusiasm, she brings structure and excitement to every class.
Her commitment to pursuing her personal dance ambitions and the passion and drive behind them, make her a vital member of the Southern Star team. She is a star in the studio both on and off the stage.
Our Trainee Teachers
SSAD offers our students who have a passion for dance and the drive to teach it, the opportunity to train as a ‘Trainee’ teacher with our qualified teachers. They participate in classes and assist the teacher in the running of classes, gaining first hand experience of what it is like to be a dance teacher.
These trainee teachers then graduate to Junior teachers once they have trained for the appropriate amount of time and commence their studies to become a qualified dance teacher. Teachers can commence their studies through ATOD in a Cert IV in Dance Teaching and Management.
All our trainees and junior teachers carry blue cards.
